Self-Clinching Studs

Self-clinching studs are fasteners designed for sheet metal and printed circuit board applications. These threaded studs feature a unique design with a knurled body and a small flange. During installation, the stud is pressed into a pre-punched or drilled hole in the sheet metal, and the material surrounding the hole is cold-formed, creating a secure and permanent mechanical connection. This process, known as clinching, eliminates the need for additional hardware or welding. Self-clinching studs provide a reliable and efficient method for attaching components to thin metal sheets, offering excellent load-bearing capabilities and ensuring a flush and durable connection.
