The squeezing action embeds the head of the stud into the sheet, with the metal displaced by the head flowing smoothly and evenly around the ribs and into the annular groove. This creates a flushhead assembly, securely locking the stud into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances. The TPS, TP4 Pilot Pins are designed for a wide range of positioning, pivot, and alignment applications, with a chamfered end that facilitates easy mating hole location. Suitable for use with sheet thicknesses of 0.040" and greater, these pilot pins offer reliable performance in various assembly processes.
