Type SHâ„¢ Hard Panel Nuts - Metric
Installs into thin, harder, high strength steel materials (high strength steel sheets at 975MPA maximum ultimate tensile) allowing for overall weight reduction in all vehicles. Designed for lower installed cost, these nuts feature unplated threads that can be oversized to accept minimum plating thickness. Setting them apart from other thin sheet fastening devices, they address environmental concerns with their smaller outer diameter and lighter weight, ensuring a flush fit on the reverse side of the panel. No embossing is required, and the hardened alloy steel material provides superior thread strength, making them ideal for automatic installation using press or in-die technology.
