Discover the Many Applications of Vlier's Knurled Press-Fit Plungers

During World War II, Vlier supported American efforts by engineering parts used in the manufacturing of military equipment – such as bombers, fighter planes, and battleships – that helped win the war. Only a few years after the worldwide conflict ended, Vlier leveraged its American ingenuity and created its flagship product, the Vlier Pin, which has gone on to perfect many manufacturing lines and products.

Vlier has grown from its early successes and now boasts an extensive catalog of over 3,300 standard parts. Many of these parts continue to be used by the U.S. Military in a variety of defense applications. Most recently, Vlier Products has introduced the versatile new knurled press-fit-plunger.

Originally developed as a ball plunger detent for indexing shell plates, Vlier’s American-made knurled press-fit plungers have been adopted across many industries, including automotive and medical manufacturing.

These Spring-Loaded Devices (SLD’s) are designed to quickly press into place, for a secure and efficient installation into a variety of materials for reliable securing, indexing, locating and positioning.
