PEM® self-clinching studs are seamlessly installed by placing them in appropriately sized holes in sheets and squeezing them into place with a standard press. This process embeds the stud head into the sheet, with displaced metal flowing smoothly around the ribs and into the annular groove. The result is a flushhead assembly that securely locks the stud in place, offering high torque-out and pushout resistances. Available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel, the FH (flush-head) studs are suitable for sheet thicknesses of .040” and greater. Different types are recommended based on the hardness of the sheet material, ensuring optimal performance and durability in various applications.
